why we're looking for you!System Engineer - Here is where your
challenge starts:As a System Engineer, you are part of the global
delivery team of the global IT operations department. This is a
global team of system engineers that delivers critical
infrastructure and ensures a high level of availability,
performance, and security for the entire (international) Stage
Entertainment group. Members of the team may be in different
locations.The IT operations department is responsible for the
following areas: connectivity, network, server management,
datacenter, user devices, workplace automation, telephony, and
printing.The System Engineer is the knowledge holder of our Base IT
environment. You design, build, secure, maintain, and monitor our
Base IT environment. You are responsible for change and incident
management and perform second-line support. You have third-line
support from vendors and partners for specific complicated topics
and projects. You report to the Head of Global IT
Operations.Specific Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, and maintain connectivity, network,
operating systems, application software, system management tools,
endpoints, Microsoft Office 365, telephony, and printers.
- Proactively monitor and manage the systems and infrastructure
to ensure there are no productivity setbacks or security
risks.
- Ensure optimal levels of systems and infrastructure
availability, performance, security, and flawless data backup
processes.
- Anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks and identify
possible solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues
when they arise.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with local and global
support staff to ensure quick incident resolution, smooth
processes, and high customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with vendors for smooth operations, improvements, and
troubleshooting; keep relevant stakeholders up to date with
relevant information.
- Write and maintain documentation.
- Advise on, design, and guard enterprise architecture.
- Provide expert market and technical knowledge to continuously
and substantially improve quality, performance, reliability, and/or
costs of the environment.Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information
technology, or a related field, or comparable level acquired
through extensive experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar
position.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills
will be a plus.
- Expert knowledge in one (or more) of the following areas:
Network knowledge in Windows, Azure, and Meraki, Microsoft Office
365, Endpoint management: SCCM and Intune, Telephony: hosted SBC,
MS Teams Phone, mobile, MDM.
- Knowledge of IT security risks and how to mitigate them, IT
service management frameworks.
- Proven experience in the continuous improvement of the IT
infrastructure in a midsize organization.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills, awareness of
organizational sensitivity, and ability to build strong
relationships with stakeholders within the organization.What does
